Motorola DROID 4 to be $250 on Two-Year Contract?

This image has no alt text

The good boys over at Droid-Life have gotten their hands on another MAP list that shows us the pricing of several new devices. While the LG Spectrum and the DROID RAZR MAXX have already gotten official pricing we still have yet to hear anything from Big Red on the DROID 4. It appears it’ll be $250, though, according to the latest leak. It’s a great price for a high-end 4G device as those usually tend to go for $300 at launch. We won’t complain, though. Not at all. Remember, though, that things can ALWAYS change so don’t go planning your financial plan without keeping that in mind.

LG Spectrum User Guide Now Available for Download and Hungry Eyes

This image has no alt text

While we still may be a bit of ways away from the LG Spectrum we’re learning more and more about the device every day. Just a few days ago it was revealed that the Spectrum would be Verizon’s version of the LG Optimus LTE. Today, we’ve gotten a downloadable user guide for the device.

Seeing one of these usually means we’re close to a launch but with the heavy lineup Verizon introduced in the last quarter of 2011 we wouldn’t be surprised to see this thing come out as late as February. As with any user guide you might not find many useful things here but it’s nice to get a peek anyway. Download here. [Droid-Life via VZBuzz]

NFL Mobile for Galaxy Nexus Coming Today?

This image has no alt text

The first thing I went to download when I got my Galaxy Nexus was the NFL Mobile app. I found and downloaded it, alright. Being able to use it was another thing. The application wasn’t immediately available for use on the Galaxy Nexus despite it showing up in the Android market but if information received by Droid-Life is to be trusted then we should be seeing an update sometime later today to add Galaxy Nexus compatibility. With NFL Mobile you’ll get news, scores/game recaps/stats, video, steaming of games (including the big game in February at Lucas Oil Stadium) and more. It definitely is a fine application for NFL fans to have. We’ll be on the lookout for it later today if this story does have legs.

LG Spectrum and HTC Fireball to be First LTE World Phones for Verizon?

This image has no alt text

We still don’t know a whole lot about these two devices but some new information about the LG Spectrum and the HTC Fireball have surfaced courtesy of Droid-Life.

According to some leaks they received these phones are slated to be the first LTE world phones for Verizon. This news certainly should excite some of you who have been looking to step up to 4G but didn’t want to risk being in the dark when traveling abroad.

The only problem we have with both of these devices is the fact that they haven’t gotten as little as rumored release windows yet. Hell, we don’t even have a blurrycam photo. Still, they sound like they may shape up to be top shelf offerings that should help keep Verizon’s already-robust lineup even more interesting.

“DROID RAZR Maxx” Finds Its Way Into Verizon’s System

This image has no alt text

Well well well, what do we have here? It looks like Big Red is getting ready to introduce a variant of the RAZR as one “ Motorola Droid RAZR Maxx” has made its way into the Verizon’s systems. There still no word on what this device will be (everyone was tipped off to it earlier this month) but our benefactor Droid-Life suspects it could be one of those 720p display-toting, 13 megapixel camera-having RAZR variants currently out in China. The biggest mystery, though – why are there two Xs?

Is Blind Type the Cherry on Top of Ice Cream Sandwich’s Keyboard?

This image has no alt text

How could you forget Blind Type? The company showcased a rather compelling demo of their keyboard software for smartphones, leading to an acquisition by Google before the general public could get their hands on it. As the name implied, Blind Type did a heck of a job discerning the meaning of mistyped words, even if text seemed like it was entered by someone lacking in vision. We have been in the dark on the whereabouts of the software keyboard and wondering when Google would introduce it to into their Android OS, if at all. Here may be some good news. Droid Life has been examining several elements of the Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and has reason to believe that Blind Type is indeed the basis of the Android 4.0 keyboard. After viewing the below video we may just have to agree, how about you?
