Taiwan’s Quanta Computer is the company chosen to deliver the Amazon tablet, a device we’ve been hearing about for a while now. The info comes from Taiwanese sources, saying that Amazon expects to ship around 700K – 800K units of the device, starting with the second half of 2011.
The touch panels for the Amazon tablet and the FFS screen technology will come to E Ink Holdings and you must know that FFS is pretty similar to IPS, so this is good news. Usually E Ink Holdings delivers electronic ink display, but this time they’ll go into a new and more evolved business segment.
