HP TouchPad Price announced: $699; Product Coming in June!

HP TouchPad, the slate just announced a couple of days ago is starting to look less appealing now that we’ve found out it will be sold for $699 from June. If you want to get a taste of webOS on a bigger screen than the Palm Pre or HP Pre 3, this is your only option, but is it worth $700?

You have to consider that by then, you’ll have tons of options to choose from: Motorola Xoom with LTE, LG G-Slate and its 3D camera and display, plus the iPad 2, that will already be announced by then. The price mentioned above is considered an aggressive strategy by HP, since it’s $100 less than the Moto Xoom, but still the Motorola product has months of head start.

If the iPad 2 gets price around $500, the Xoom, TouchPad and many more will have already lost the battle…
