Motorola XOOM to Receive 4G LTE Update Even If Rooted

Motorola is taking a turn for the very best, as far as attitude towards rooting is concerned. After an initial lack of support for bootloaders on its Android smartphones, now the company promises to upgrade your XOOM tablet with 4G LTE connectivity even if it’s found rooted.

We remind you that the currently purchased Motorola tablet units will be available for LTE upgrades, if they’re sent back to their maker. You’ll get your upgrade no matter if your XOOM has been repainted, modified, software customized or God knows what else. Of course, software failure during updates can happen, if you’ve tweaked the tablet too much, but that’s your risk to take.

Users are asked to rewind the device to the original firmware state, before sending it in. All we need now is a bootloader on Moto phones and we’ll be really happy with this brand.
