Vodafone Australia Preparing Android 2.3 for Galaxy Tab; Tests Already Started!

Vodafone Australia has its Twitter account reporting that the carrier is testing Android 2.3 Gingerbread on a couple of devices. These include the Galaxy S handset and the Galaxy Tab slate, with the latter still waiting for this update.

No info on the time of arrival for the software, but it should be soon, since the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is apparently ready to take off locally as well. Will we ever get Honeycomb on Galaxy Tab? Chances are that we won’t, but we’ve always got ports and customized ROMs…
