The pen is mightier than the finger
Wacom Bamboo Stylus for iPad: Why wait for the HTC Flyer?

There's currently only one tablet about to hit the market, the?HTC Flyer,?that comes with a stylus to allow you to interact with it as stadard. But Wacom's come up with an alternative for?Apple iPad 2?and iPad owners.

The company has announced the launch of the Wacom Bamboo Stylus for iPad that will let you draw on your device thanks to some simple but clever technology that confuses it into believe the stylus is your finger.

Its authentic and satisfying feel is achieved through subtle design elements, such as a "sophisticated" black and silver design with satin-textured metal body, a focus on ergonomic comfort and balanced weighting of the pen. In addition, the fine tip gives the user more detail control say Wacom.

The idea is that artists will be able to use the pen to draw on the iPad rather than having to use their finger.

Of course, it's not the first stylus that works with Apple's capacitive screens, but its 6mm tip is purportedly one of the thinnest.

Available from mid-May, the Wacom Bamboo Stylus for iPad is priced at ?24.99.
