But "not cancelled"
The Acer Iconia Tab A100 - the 7-inch Android 3.0 tablet in the company's new line-up - has been delayed. Originally touted for April, and then pushed back to a retail launch in May, Acer has told Pocket-lint that the device has now been shunted again to the latter half of 2011.
However, contrary to reports elsewhere, the company denies that the Honeycomb tablet has been cancelled completely.
When asked, Acer UK told us, "The A100 has not been cancelled but the launch is postponed to the second half of the year."
The statement is in stark contrast to one made by the Polish branch of Acer to tabletowo.pl, who have been told that the A100 has definitely been discontinued. It came as the site noticed that the device was being removed from the manufacturer's websites.
So, who do we believe? Certainly, it would be strange to think that the Polish Acer team would lie about the cancellation of an important device in its line-up, yet our UK source was adamant that it is still on the cards.
Maybe the Acer Iconia Tab A100 will still hit the UK and not mainland Europe?
Certainly, with this latest development, it confirms that the Viewsonic ViewPad 7x will definitely be the world's first 7-inch Honeycomb tablet, as we exclusively said on 11 May.

UPDATE: The Polish website tablet-online.pl?has contradicted its countrymen, stating that its sources at Acer Poland have told it that the Acer Iconia Tab A100 is "suspended not cancelled".
