Also known as LePad in China, the Lenovo IdeaPad K1 Android tablet has recently been listed on some sites and then quickly disappeared. It’s either gone mysteriously or listed as “sold out”, strange as that may seem. The product was supposed to debut in June, but it appeared earlier on sites like Buy.com and Krex.
The Krex listing has the device out of stock and priced at $510, while on Buy.com there’s no trace of price, but the listing is more detailed and has larger pics. The specs of the Lenovo slate include Honeycomb, a 1GHz Tegra 2 CPU, 1GB of DDR2 memory and 32GB of flash storage. We’re dealing with a 10 inch tablet with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, 2MP front camera and 5MP main camera.
There’s also a microSD card reader on board, micro HDMI out and SIM card slot. It’s very strange that the device is filled with apps that normally shouldn’t come with a standard Honeycomb tablet. We mean stuff like Lenovo App Shop, Amazon MP3, Netflix, Talking Tom, Angry Birds, Docs to Go and many, many more…
