Notion Ink Adam Orders Resurface: Ready for Round Two? Honeycomb Soon to be Available as Well

A recent post on the Notion Ink official blog mentions that the next round of orders for the Adam slate has started and we also learn that there will be a Honeycomb migration in the future. At this moment, the tablet runs Android 2.2 and with Gingerbread elements, but it’ll never go up to Android 2.3.

Expect a full migration to Android 3.0 in the future and we’re surprised to hear that Honeycomb updates are possible. Too bad that Notion Ink Adam units won’t have access to the Android Market, but we’re sure that can be solved with aw workaround. It’s also possible that Google chooses to launch a separate app store for Honeycomb and the many slates that will follow, but you shouldn’t bet on that.
