Toshiba Antares, New Name For Honeycomb Slate?

Toshiba has been teasing, advertising and showing off its upcoming tablet, but there’s no official name for it, yet. Or is it? During MWC, at Nvidia’s booth an unit of the slate could be seen, in prototype phase and running Android 2.2 (stock). At the About section of the Settings app, the device was listed as “Antares”.

This is not the final retail unit, so the codename could change and vary depending to the region of the world the product is sold in. We remind you that the supposed Toshiba Antares will ship with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, that will use a dual core Tegra 2 CPU to run. There’s also a 10.1 inch touchscreen on board, as well as a 5MP camera at the back and a 2MP camera up front.
