ASUS Preparing 3D Tablet, Also Talks Quad Core and MeeGo Netbooks

During CeBIT 2011 this week, ASUS CEO Jerry Shen talked to reporters attending the show in Germany and detailed the company’s future plans. These include 3D tablets, quad core processors and SSD drives, to be included on upcoming products. No specific units were mentioned, although we’ve learned that ASUS intends to launch a Windows Phone device next year.

Till we get to see that interesting 3D tablet the CEO mentioned, we’ll have to do with Android and MeeGo netbooks from the company and these will be coming soon. With the iPad 2 announced this week, it’s hard for ASUS to just sit by and watch how LG shows the world a 3D tablet, while Samsung plans to increase its Galaxy Tab family with one more 8.9 inch member this month.

We want more launches and less talk from this company…
