HTC Jetstream 4G LTE Tablet Announced in IFA 2011 Preview Event, Priced at $700 on AT&T Contract

Just a day before the big IFA 2011 event in Berlin, we’ve found out some interesting information about the newest HTC tablet dubbed Jetstream. This 10 incher comes with 4G LTE connectivity and should hit AT&T in September for a very unappealing $700 price tag, on contract…

The tablet has been in the news before, under the codenamed HTC Puccini and with a 10.1 inch HD display as appealing feature. What’s really unique about this Android 3.1 unit is the HTC Sense customization it comes with and it seems AT&T will also include the HTC Scribe pen for free (limited offer). Here’s the specs list of the slate, in case you’re wondering:

  • Connectivity: LTE, HSPA+, EDGE/GPRS
  • Display: 10.1 inch, WXGA HD
  • CPU: 3rd gen Snapdragon, 1.5GHz, dual core
  • Camera: 8MP, dual LED flash, front 1.3MP cam
  • Memory: microSD (32GB)
  • Battery: 7.300 mAh

The device weighs 25 ounces and it will be available for purchase both online and in retail stores starting September 4. This is the first Honeycomb tablet for HTC and also the first one with the Sense UI on board. AT&T postpaid customers can get a $35, 3G monthly data plan option with a 2 year contract.

HTC Puccini Spotted in the Wild, With AT&T and LTE Support

We’ve seen it leaked before, but this is the first time that we get cozy with the HTC Puccini Honeycomb tablet. This device comes with AT&T branding and LTE support, as shown by its back. Last we heard, this unit reached the FCC and got closer and closer to launch.

The specs of this device have also been confirmed, including that 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, Honeycomb and 16GB of storage. There’s also an 8 megapixel at the back and at the front we have that 10.1 inch WXGA panel we’ve been hearing about. Now let’s see in what way HTC customized this unit and if there’s yet another Sense UI version especially created for tablets.

A stylus addition is also expected, together with Scribe according to rumors. The question here is what will differentiate this model from other 10 inch Honeycomb tablets? I only see this device as a product for HTC fans or people who already own a HTC smartphone and know what this brand can do.

HTC Puccini Honeycomb Tablet Rebranded Jetstream in the AT&T Flavor

Remember the recent screenshots leaked and showing the HTC Puccini tablet? This Honeycomb device also hit the FCC not so long ago, complete with a bunch of specs… Although the name seems to have been stuck for a while, don’t get too comfortable with Puccini, since the AT&T version of the tablet will be called HTC Jetstream in the end.

This 10 inch LTE tablet is the follow-up to the HTC Flyer, a not so successful unit, mostly because of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS it used. Also, some people weren’t too happy with buying its special stylus needed for the Scribe system separately and paying extra for it. We also expect a Sprint release of this model, most likely with the name EVO View 4G, according to speculations.

In Europe, Puccini might be called HTC Skyrocket, although that sounds a little bit childish to me, but the source of the info is a trademark filing from the old continent. We remind you that this is a 1.5GHz dual core processor slate we’re talking about, with an 8MP camera and customized Honeycomb experience.

HTC Puccini Honeycomb Tablet Coming by Early October, According to Its Maker

Remember the HTC Puccini? This is one of the most awaited tablets out there, one that will launch in late September or early October, or so says HTC CFO Winston Yung. Meanwhile, we have yet to get a totally clear list of specs for this device, although its design is pretty certain right now.

The info comes from the Chinese paper Liberty Times, quoted by DigiTimes. We remind you that this model was first leaked as screenshots pointing towards AT&T release, only to be confirmed by a further leak of FCC material concerning it. As far as rumors go, the slate will come with a 10.1 inch touch display, like most of the famous Honeycomb devices this year, plus a 1.5GHz CPU.

Puccini is truly a Flyer follow-up, since it still uses the active stylus that the first slate took up. HTC expects to release more devices with stylus input in 2012, continuing the trends started with the Flyer. As far as connectivity goes, AT&T’s 4G LTE all the way, maybe with that new $50 for 5GB plan, recently announced by the operator.

Plus, you get an 8 megapixel camera at the back with dual LED to rival the cam on the Galaxy Tab 10.1v, if anyone remembers that…

HTC Puccini Tablet for AT&T Detailed: Lots of Bloatware

HTC Puccini is pretty much a solid 10 inch tablet right now, especially after being leaked and then reaching the FCC. Today we have another leak that includes a bunch of screenshots from the AT&T version of the slate. The Puccini is predicted to be one of the first LTE devices in this carrier’s portofolio.

Now we also get some more details about the specs, including a 1.5GHz dual core processor, Honeycomb build with AT&T bloatware and support for HSPA+ at least for now. There’s also an 8MP cam at the back and a front shooter for videocalls. HTC added a pen icon in the tray, meaning that the rumors about the Scribe inclusion are actually real.

This model features a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and HTC decided to pull off something different, by also including a numeric pad into the virtual keyboard. Tabbed browsing should also be great on this resolution, especially in comparison with the 7 inch Flyer. Pocketnow expects this unit to arrive on Christmas time. Ready for a total Flyer upgrade?
