This is the announcement we’ve all been waiting for – availability of HTC’s first Android 3.0+ tablet. It’s being called the HTC Jetstream and is the “Puccini” that we’ve been talking about for so long. It’s a 10.1 inch Honeycomb tablet with a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Scribe support (the pen is available free on contract for a short time), an 8MP rear camera, a 1.3MP front camera and HTC Sense.

As for radios, not only do we have HSPA+ 4G for data, we also have 4G LTE radios making it AT&T’s first 4G LTE non-hotspot or data stick device. Thankfully, this thing isn’t far from being launched as they’ve confirmed it’ll be on store shelves Sunday, September 4th 2011. The bad news? Even on contract, this thing will run you $700, making it one of the more (if not the most) expensive Honeycomb tablets available. Read on for full press details.

Newly Leaked HTC Jetstream (Puccini) Pics – AT&T 4G LTE Confirmed

This image has no alt text

Looks like the boys over at Engadget found themselves these juicy pics of AT&T’s upcoming HTC Jetstream (better known as the Puccini) complete with 4G LTE branding on its rear. The device should be rolling out sometime in the very near future and looks to be AT&T’s flagship tablet for taking advantage of their upcoming LTE network.

This 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet will feature HTC’s Sense UI 3.0, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear/2MP front facing cameras with dual-LED flash and I have a feelin’ we’ll see support the HTC Scribe pen as well. What do you guys think? With all the new tablets releasing this year, will the HTC Jetstream find a way into your hearts/wallet?

HTC Puccini Honeycomb Tablet Rebranded Jetstream in the AT&T Flavor

Remember the recent screenshots leaked and showing the HTC Puccini tablet? This Honeycomb device also hit the FCC not so long ago, complete with a bunch of specs… Although the name seems to have been stuck for a while, don’t get too comfortable with Puccini, since the AT&T version of the tablet will be called HTC Jetstream in the end.

This 10 inch LTE tablet is the follow-up to the HTC Flyer, a not so successful unit, mostly because of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS it used. Also, some people weren’t too happy with buying its special stylus needed for the Scribe system separately and paying extra for it. We also expect a Sprint release of this model, most likely with the name EVO View 4G, according to speculations.

In Europe, Puccini might be called HTC Skyrocket, although that sounds a little bit childish to me, but the source of the info is a trademark filing from the old continent. We remind you that this is a 1.5GHz dual core processor slate we’re talking about, with an 8MP camera and customized Honeycomb experience.

HTC Puccini Will Launch as HTC Jetstream on AT&T

This image has no alt text

New screenshots pulled from the HTC Puccini are shedding some light on what the tablet will be called when it hits the market, specifically AT&T’s version. Sticking with the aviation-esque theme established by the Taiwanese manufacturer’s first tablet, the HTC Flyer, the 10-inch Honeycomb slate will be tagged the HTC Jetstream when found bandying about AT&T’s airwaves. The tablet is said to be 4G-equipped, and an icon in the Honeycomb tray suggests as much. Still, whether this 4G will be LTE or merely HSPA+ remain unclear. The Jetstream name certainly suggests something with some speed behind it.
