Motorola XOOM Comes With a Barometer Inside (Video)

Motorola XOOM is one of the most talked about tablets of 2011, that’s for sure, since it’s the first confirmed Honeycomb Android 3.0 device. Well, among the features of this tablet we’ve found a new one, a barometer sensor, something we’ve been waiting ever since Android 2.3 Gingerbread was released.

Gingerbread listed a couple of motion and other sensors on its feature list and barometer was also included, but this is the first time we’ve heard of it being used. The info concerning this new sensor on XOOM comes from Motorola’s Facebook page and it’s also listed on the official tablet developer’s page.

Using this feature, local weather conditions will be predicted and this will be useful for measuring altitude and all sorts of outdoor activities. The March debut of the 4G LTE device can’t seem close enough…
