Dell has been taking pre-orders for the tablet-netbook Inspiron Duo on its site or a while now and we learn that units will be shipped in December. This 10 inch swiveling screen device comes with a display that rotates inside the frame and transforms the standard netbook into a tablet. Orders are only accepted in the US for now, with the device going for $549.
You’ll pay $649 for the unit bundled with an optional docking station with extra ports and speakers. Deliveries start in the US on December 15 and in the UK on December 2. We’re dealing with a slate that runs Windows 7 Home Premium with the Dell Duo Stage UI. Here’s the specs list, if you’re curious:
