ViewSonic is usually a brand known for its slates, but CES 2011 seemed like the perfect opportunity to let a smartphone go loose, too. Tablets were also involved, like the 7 inch unit showcased at Viewonic’s booth. There was also a 4 inch smartphone present, called ViewPad 4.
Dubbed the ViewPad 7, the new ViewSonic slate comes with the following specifications:
- OS: Android 2.2 Froyo
- CPU: Qualcomm MSM7227, 600MHz
- Connectivity: 3.5G
- Display: 7 inch, WVGA LCD, 800 x 480 pixels
- Camera: 3MP front, 3MP rear
The ViewPad line, that also includes the 4 inch 1GHz smartphone will debut this summer and we also have to mention the ViewPad 10 model, with its 10.1 inch display, WiFi connectivity and dual operating systems (Win 7, Android).
