Toshiba Chrome OS Slates, Plus Win 7 and Android Units Coming to CES 2011?

While some rushed to call 2010 “The Year of the Tablet”, this name is better suited to 2011, that will debut the slate craziness with the CES 2011 event. Toshiba is already preparing some goodies for the tech show, stuff like Win 7, Chrome OS and Android tablets. It’ll be interesting to see those competing with the Notion Ink Adam, iPad 2 and whatever Motorola is readying.

Speculations claim that Toshiba is preparing a bunch of 7 inch tablets, handled by the company’s smartphone segment. We have no hardware specs to show you, although we know that two of the tablets feature 10.1 inch touchscreens, with the third one being based on a 11.6 inch panel. Toshiba already has a bad record for this year, after having its Folio 100 model pulled from shelves because of a number of issues.

Let’s hope 2011 is better for them.
