NOOKcolor eReader Receives Firmware Update; Includes Tweaks and Bugfixes

The NOOKcolor ereader has just received a new firmware update, coming from Barnes & Noble and bringing tweaks and bug fixes to the device. The 7 inch e-book reader gets pinch zooming support in its browser, as the primary feat of this upgrade. More is available after the break.

You can download the update here and know that its changelist includes improved WiFi connectivity performance, enhanced magazine reading experience and reduced mistyped passwords with the “show password” option in the WiFi registration and setup process. Also, general bug fixes and performance improvements are included and the ability to easily identify NOOK kids Read to Me books.
