Samsung Preparing 4G Tablet for This Year Launch, Galaxy S III Handset for 2012

Samsung Mobile Communications Division president JK Shin mentioned in a recent interview that the company he runs intends to launch a 4G tablet this year. Mr. Shin didn’t reveal extra details, but he did say that the new slate will be an upgraded version of the current Galaxy Tab models.

As far as smartphones are concerned, we have super info concerning the evolution of the Galaxy S series: there will be a third model! This handset will come in the first half of next year, maybe at MWC? As far as the tablet is concerned, we’re guessing it will be a quad core unit, since right now Samsung dual core offers for the 8.9 inch and 10.1 inch segments, plus a single core 7 inch tablet, so that’s covered…

How about an Android slate with quad core power, a great camera and Samsung customization?
