Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 is A Beast of Tablet: With 1.2GHz Dual Core CPU and Gingerbread 2.3.4

We’ve got some cool info coming from the Galaxy Tab segment, that will soon be graced with a new model. Supposedly dubbed Galaxy Tab Seven, this tablet will be a Gingerbread 2.3.4 model, with a dual core Exynos 1.2GHz CPU and  an announcement scheduled for this fall.

Its specs will include 1GB of RAM, a 7 inch WSVGA IPS LCD display, 16GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot. These hardware features remind me a lot of the Samsung Galaxy S II, so this may be considered a bigger version of the smartphone. USB host connectivity will also be provided through the Galaxy Tab connector and Gingerbread will be customized with TouchWiz 4.0, again like on the Galaxy s II.

We expect Honeycomb to also arrive on this unit, as an update, since it’s got the firepower to run it. It seems that video calling, phone calling and SMS will also be supported.
