Toshiba Thrive Tablet Packs Removable Battery, Swype Keyboard, Honeycomb

Toshiba’s Thrive is one of the upcoming Honeycomb tablets with 10.1 inch display and many interesting features. The device was recently confirmed by its maker through an announcement, that also included some very appealing specs: removable battery, Swype technology and full size USB ports.

Thrive also comes with an SD card slot, a HDMI port, a USB 2.0 port and a pretty standard set of features, that includes the latest version of Honeycomb (Android 3.1), a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display and a dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor. The new Toshiba product only comes with a WiFi connection, so it lacks 3G.

The device will cost $430 in the 8GB flavor, $480 in the 16GB one and $580 for the 32GB unit. Pre-orders start on June 13 at retailers such as Amazon.com, Best Buy, Radio Shack and shipments are expected in mid July.
