TabCo Tablet Could in Fact be a Windows 8 Model? “Cubes” UI Mentioned

The TabCo tablet and its many virals have many times been associated to Nokia and a possible MeeGo slate. Well, now another theory appears, as we have extra details about the device. TabCo is claiming that it had tablets before that “have failed”.

They could be talking about Nokia’s Maemo Internet tablet or maybe about Microsoft’s Courier… I’m starting to think more and more that this is Windows 8 and Microsoft, since this model will be lighter than 1.33 pounds, it will lack front buttons, it will come with preloaded document apps (sounds like Microsoft) and feature a USB port.

Also, there’s a cell model on board, Angry Birds preloaded and elements specific to a rubiks cube in the UI, maybe meaning square tiles. Considering that Windows 8 is supposed to come in 2012, while the WeTab Tabco is coming next month, the Microsoft option is out of the question. What other square-based UIs to you know?

TabCo Likes Swipe on Facebook… Presumed Nokia Tablet Comes With… Megan Fox?!

We’ve kept you in touch with the whole TabCo story, assuming that in fact this product is Nokia’s very first tablet with MeeGo. Well, now TabCo is back, fresh after hacking a skyscraper to display their names and also after writing their name on the sky using a plane next to the WWDC building.

Now, TabCo have done it again, this time by giving a LIKE on Facebook to the word “Swipe”. We all know from the Nokia N9 presentations that Swipe is the key system of the MeeGo operating system. Also, this name applies to the N9/N950 Harmattan UI on MeeGo, so liking it may mean that the ties with Nokia are once again confirmed by TabCo.

Also notice that there’s a comment saying that this slate will also… “come with Megan Fox”, at least virtually. We can’t wait till next month, when TabCo/Nokia has something good coming, or so they wrote on a skyscraper.

Tabco Tablet Viral Hits Empire State Building, More Nokia Connections Found (Video)

Tabco have done it again, by posting another viral clip on YouTube and performing an incredible stunt: hacking the Empire State Building to display their website. They also announced that their Tabco tablet is coming on August 15 and once again we remember the Nokia connections they seem to have.

We could be dealing with a MeeGo tablet here, one developed by a new Nokia branch called Tabco. The guys of MyNokiaBlog have even found a solid connection between the two: they share the same address (Vancouver, WA, 98682). Pretty cool, right? Also, the WeAreTabco Twitter account appeared on the web just as the WeAreMaemo one disappeared. Coincidence? Guess not!

During a series of other viral clips, the people who tested the Tabco tablet kept reminding us that this is not an Apple product, or an Android one. HP was also dismissed as well as the BlackBerry PlayBook. Some say that this may be a Motorola viral or maybe one from HP, but in the end there are way too much hints at Nokia’s involvement.

So, mark your calendar with the August 15 date and start dreaming!

The video you can see below seems to be a hint regarding Nokia’s very first tablet, that’s most likely MeeGo material. Well, several other hints related to a mystery “Tabco” have been appearing lately, like the disappearance of a Twitter account called WeAreTabCo, that was followed by some popular people in the Meego world.

There’s a viral campaign taking off right now and it seems Nokia could be behind it. Also at the end of this article you’ll find a focus group, with very interesting discussions. They talk about the iPad, the Microsoft laptops and the PadFone, plus Xoom and other Android tablets. What’s left? Well, it could be HP, or… Nokia.

We hear lots of about swiping, a fantastic UI, this being the new Android and claims that this is entirely different. Last we find out that “it’s a big long for HP”, so there you have it: it’s either HP or Nokia. Tabco was also teased at WWDC, that’s a very bold move, especially near Apple’s Moscone Center event, where a plane spelled the name of the product on the sky.

Could we expect a Nokia Tabco tablet?
